Gameplay
For this sequel of WWE game, the wrestlers now has two fighting style that they can use, one primary and one secondary. Each of the wrestlers' fighting style has its own advantages and disadvantages in each particular match type. This are the available fighting styles: high-flyer, hardcore, submission artist, powerhouse, showman, brawler, dirty, and technical. For the wrestlers' special move, those are based solely on their primary style.
Modes
Several different game modes to be played are allowed on this game, of course, each of them has their own goals and options. The general manager and season modes of previous games have been merged into the new "WWE 24/7" mode. Players can also choose to play one of the game's included superstars, a created superstar or as a general manager of one of the brand. Playing as a wrestler, the goal is to take that wrestler and achieve "legend" status. Several match types to be played are allowed on this game. This mainly includes the Iron Man Match; Battle Royal; Hell in a Cell; Tables, Ladders, and Chairs; Hardcore; Ladder match; the Elimination Chamber; and Royal Rumble among others.
For the Wii Platform
The game differs significantly on the platform that it is played on. For the Wii, its version features five match types. These are, Single, Tag Team, KO Match, Triple Threat and Hardcore. The Wii version lacks a WWE Shop and features a smaller move list compared to the other options.
